Frequently Asked Question
What are TASV’s financial goals?

We have developed an 2022-2023 annual budget to provide one local law enforcement officer at our pilot school. Currently, it costs approximately $225 per child, annually. These funds will go directly to compensating law enforcement officers and minimally to basic operating costs (i.e., website management, donation fees).
How do you select your law enforcement officers, and what qualifications do they require?

Our TASV officers are active-duty local police officers. In addition to their police department required training, officers have gone through additional required and voluntary training to make them fit for the unique needs at an elementary campus level.
If you are a police officer, and interested in learning more about TASV, please email tasvfw@gmail.com for more information.
What about security gaps beyond local law enforcement?

Law enforcement presence at elementary campuses is just one step to advance security measures at public school campuses. If you have questions about additional security measures at your school, please contact your school administrators and/or local school board.
How do I get TASV at my school?

TASV’s mission is to provide protection for every child, through law enforcement security measures, at every Texas public school campus. We are focusing our donations and efforts to ensure a successful pilot program at our pilot school for the 2022-2023 school year. We will evaluate additional reach in the 2023-2024 school year with the collaboration of ISD and school board members. If you are interested in learning more about sister school opportunities, or would like to get in touch to understand how to bring TASV to your school, please reach out to tasvfw@gmail.com.
